Documents required for flights in S2, S3, restricted areas, etc:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Permits and Notifications:<\/u><\/strong>
\nYou must complete certain procedures before beginning a flight or starting your operations; some procedures are standard, while others are specific to your activity:<\/p>\n

Aerial photography authorization<\/strong>
\n – For aerial photography in the visible spectrum, you must send form Cerfa n\u00b012546*01<\/a> to the DSAC of your region. (This procedure will soon be obsolete).
\n – for aerial photography outside the visible spectrum, a prior authorization request<\/a> (valid for 3 years) must be sent to the prefect. <\/p>\n

Populated Area (Scenario<\/a> S-3)
\n<\/strong>– For a flight in a populated area (Scenario S-3), the flight must be reported to the prefecture via Alphatango<\/a> or by submitting Form Cerfa No. 15476*02<\/a>, at least 5 business days before the flight.
\n– for flights in urban areas involving the use of public space, a flight permit from the city hall may also be required.<\/p>\n

Beyond visual line of sight flights (S-2 or S-4)<\/strong>
\n – for flights beyond visual line of sight (S-2 or S-4), the flight must be declared via Alphatango<\/a> 2 working days before the flight.<\/p>\n

Flights in controlled airspace<\/strong>
\n – for flights in controlled airspace (CTR, zone D, R, P or ZIT, nature reserves), the manager’s authorization is essential (for zones P and ZIT).<\/p>\n

Hospitals with an emergency medical service (SAMU) and helicopters<\/strong>
\n – For hospitals with an emergency medical service (SAMU) equipped with helicopters, it is necessary to contact them beforehand to inform them of the flight and, if necessary, obtain the procedure to follow.<\/p>\n

Each procedure is independent, so make sure you don’t forget anything.<\/u><\/p>\n

For example, for a flight in downtown Bordeaux<\/strong>, you must request:
\n– authorization from city hall
\n– a declaration of flight in a populated area via Alphatango<\/a>
\n– contact information for local hospitals with a SAMU helicopter service
\n– authorization to fly within the Bordeaux-M\u00e9rignac CTR, issued by the Bordeaux-M\u00e9rignac Airport.<\/p>\n

– The mission file (for scenario S-4 only):<\/strong>
\nBefore any S-4 mission, a file must be created. It must be retained for 12 months<\/strong> after the mission ends. <\/p>\n
